Description
The Breithorn half traverse is a classic alpine ridge climb with great exposure and views, combining glacier travel, scrambling, and sections of easy climbing. We start from Zermatt and take the lift to Klein Matterhorn, then cross the glacier to the start of the ridge. The traverse follows the rocky and snowy crest over several towers before reaching the main Breithorn summit (4164m), descending via the normal route. Suitable for climbers with prior experience in alpine terrain and good fitness. Guided by an IFMGA-certified mountain guide.
