Ski Touring in San Bernardo Valley

Thanks to its unique location, the Gran St. Bernardo Valley often enjoys excellent snow conditions. Many ski tours are already possible in winter, and with the arrival of spring, even more opportunities open up, both in this valley and the adjacent Valpelline. The area offers several pleasant accommo-dation options, and the small ski station of Crevacol allows for some elevation gain savings on certain tours. It is also a great alternative for bad-weather days, offering tree skiing in its renowned fo-rests. If strong Foehn winds are blowing, crossing the Great St. Bernard Tunnel often leads to calmer conditions and more exciting ski touring options. During the stay, there will certainly be an opportunity to visit the famous Gran St. Bernardo Hospi-ce, founded over a thousand years ago and a true symbol of the region

Matterhorn & Dent d'Herens Haute Route

The Valpelline Valley is one of the most untouched and wild valleys in the Aosta region. Unlike many others, it has preserved its pristine beauty, offering an authentic mountain experience. Its northern slopes are characterized by remote valleys, perfect for ski touring, with several high passes leading into Swiss glacier terrain. This continuous crossing between valleys and glaciers creates an exciting ski mountaineering itinerary, out of the radars, gradually bringing us closer to the majestic Dent d’Hérens and the Matterhorn, allowing us to ski beneath their towering presence.
