About Hannes

Description

Growing up in the Pinzgau region of Salzburg, between the Berchtesgaden and Chiemgau Alps, my love for the mountains was instilled in me by my parents from an early age. As far back as I can remember, my memories are filled with mountaineering, climbing, skiing… At first, not always voluntarily, but it shaped me nonetheless. Today, the mountains have become the center of my life—both professionally and personally. In my early twenties, I moved to Innsbruck to study. Although the university didn't see me very often, I was able to complete my academic journey in the spring of 2021 with my master’s thesis on wet snow mechanics. Since then, I've been working full-time as a mountain guide and have the privilege of introducing you to the very world that shaped me so deeply and still brings a smile to my face every single day.

Obergabelhorn/Arbengrat - Zinalrothorn/Rotgrat

The Arbengrat on the Obergabelhorn is considered one of the most beautiful and demanding ridge routes in the Alps. This elegant line combines solid rock, exposed sections, and varied climbing. Set against the majestic backdrop of the Valais Alps, the ridge offers an unforgettable experience for experienced alpinists. The Rothorn Ridge (Rotgrat) on the Zinalrothorn is an equally impressive route, featuring steep rock and snow sections. It is one of the most striking ridges on the Zinalrothorn and rewards climbers with spectacular views and a true alpine atmosphere. The combination of technical challenges and stunning scenery makes this ridge an absolute highlight. Both routes are a must for lovers of demanding alpine ridge climbs!

Hike and Fly - Mont Blanc

Climbing the highest peak in the Alps is an unforgettable experience – but leaving it by paraglider is the real dream! After ascending the 4,810-meter-high Mont Blanc, the ultimate reward awaits: a spectacular paragliding flight straight from the summit down into the valley. No tired legs, no long descent – just pure freedom and a breathtaking panorama. The conditions for a flight from Mont Blanc naturally have to be right, so having a larger time window is an advantage. This gives us enough flexibility and time to acclimatize. Possible climb and fly tours in the massif for acclimatization: - Mont Blanc du Tacul - Dôme de Miage traverse - Pointes Lachenal traverse - Cosmiques Ridge - Midi-Plan traverse
