Description
My name is Gerrit Egnew, and I am an aspirant in the Swiss guide scheme (SBV), based in the Berner Oberland. I am originally from Idaho, in the US, and have been in the Alps for about six years. I have spent a lot of time in the mountains of Switzerland, but also in Chamonix, the Dolomites, and further afield in Alaska, Norway, Canada, and the USA. I speak fluent English and German and can also communicate a bit in French. As a guide, I enjoy all mountain activites, but I am particularly passionate about mixed climbing.

Learn to climb multipitch routes and place trad gear efficiently and safely! Minimum 1 day, but can be booked for multiple days. Course will take place in such beautiful locations as the Engelhörner, Susten Pass, Grimsel Pass, or Furka pass.

Learn to ice climb at the renowned Engstligenalp ice fall! Learn how to safely toprope climb in ice and how to use equipment properly.
