Born and raised above the Arctic Cirle, in a small mining town known as ”Gällivare” in the far north of Sweden. Currently though I´m based in the stunning Romsdalen region of Norway and have lived in Norway for the past 6 years. My geographical expertise lies in northern Scandinavia and the central Alps. For that reason I also have become a specialist in the winter activities – ice climbing and skiing! Though I´m not late to say yes to climbing clean cut granite or some classic mountaineering and alpine climbing! Skiing in one of Norway's best arenas for ski touring! Whether you like steep couloirs, sweeping open flanks with ocean views or challenging big faces, here´s something for everyone. Romsdalen contains some big mountains requiring a good physique and experience from ski touring to be able to truly experience the best possible skiing, but for the ones ready to put in the effort - there´s nothing like it. With a huge variety of mountains and fjords, we set off in the morning to new objectives, always searching for the best snow or experience. Skinning between 800-1800 verticals a day (depending on your fitness). The terrain is varied and will make every day feel unique. Join in and I´m sure you won´t be disappointed!

Climbing Romsdalshorn
he tour starts at the end of the valley ”Vengedalen” a short drive from Åndalsnes. We’ll begin by approaching along a steep but very beautiful trail leading us to a ridge with great spots to look over the Romsdal valley. As we progress along the ridge, we’ll reach the ”Gap”, the start point where we’ll prepare for the technical rope work that lies ahead. This will take us about 1 to 1,5hours . While the initial 100 meters involve relatively easy scrambling, the terrain gradually steepens, necessitating pitch climbing and climbing up to grade 4 (Norwegian) to reach the summit. Expect around six -seven pitches, covering approximately 250 meters of ascent. The climbing is steep but never diffiucult, just where you want a hold – there is a hold! After about 2 hours of climbing you will be on the top – looking over the infamous Troll Wall, the Romsdalen Valley and you can now say that you have climbed Romsdalshorn! Repelling down For our descent, we’ll use basically the same route we ascended, rappelling safely back down in 5 rapells. Level and Recommendations Although the overall altitude gain is moderate at about 800 meters, a significant portion of the ascent involves rope work in exposed terrain. Therefore, prior experience with heights and mountaineering is strongly recommended. Typically, we start our adventure at 07:00, and the entire journey can take between 6-8 hours.
