Roberto “Rouge” Rossi, born on February 24, 1976, in Turin, forms the Mountain-Passion guiding team alongside Riccardo Olliveri. With a degree in Biology, Roberto has been a Mountain Guide since 2003 and an Instructor for Mountain Guides since 2007. From 2003 to 2019, he was a member of the Cervino Mountain Guides Society, resigning to explore new opportunities. Passionate about all things mountains and verticality, Roberto practices mountaineering in all its forms. He has completed numerous climbs across the Western Alps, specializing in the Mont Blanc massif. His expertise also extends to international peaks, with travels and expeditions to Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru, Patagonia, the Himalayas, Pakistan, Morocco, Kenya, Norway, Spain, Japan, Canada, and the USA. Splitting his time between Cervinia and Chamonix, Roberto is an avid high-altitude climber and steep skier. His notable ski descents include the north face of Lyskamm, the east and south faces of Monte Rosa, the north face of Aiguille du Midi on various routes, and the east face of the Matterhorn. In addition to guiding, Roberto is a certified instructor for work-at-height systems, including rope access and positioning techniques, as well as fall protection equipment. He collaborates with specialized mountaineering publications like ALP and Planetmountain and serves as a consultant for brands such as Montura, Scarpa, ATK, Kästle, Edelweiss, ARVA, BLUE ICE, Cebé, and H-dry.
